Entrepreneurship and Human Design Projectors

Entrepreneurship and Human Design Projectors

Feeling bitter about your strategy and authority?

I get it. You don’t want to wait for anyone else’s cue to take control over your own life. You have a “hustler’s mentality” and feel like you can outwork the generators and manifesting generators on any given day.

And you probably can.

Except then, it’ll take you longer to recover from the burn-out you’ll experience for confusing “borrowed” energy with your own.

It’s natural for a projector to seek out entrepreneurial endeavors. After all, we’re not here to work in the traditional sense. The jobs meant for us are still being created.

Because of this, many projectors tend to lean towards creative and entrepreneurial pursuits.

Projectors may require an invitation to sell, but they don’t need an invitation to showcase their talents, products or services.

It doesn’t matter if you’re a content creator or a small business owner, if you would like to experience the projector’s signature of success, here are 3 tips to keep in mind when navigating your industry:

  • You have to create a system for automation
  • You have to focus on 1–2 platforms
  • You have to stop showing up as a “generator”

If this sounds like something you’re interested in learning more of, I have some valuable insights for you.

Tip #1 — You have to create a system for automation.

By definition, automation is, “the technique of making a process, or a system operate automatically.”

As a projector, you are a living, breathing, “work hack.” No one creates a system like you. If you find yourself constantly cold calling, cold emailing, stressing, and direct messaging people who haven’t recognized you, you’re misusing your energy.

A projector’s business strategy is simple: show up and make things easier for yourself.

You cultivate systems by getting the maximum results from the least of your effort.

This can manifest as filming four YouTube videos and scheduling them out across a two week period. It creates a feeling of success because you did what needed to be done and it’s not something you’ll have to worry about in coming days. You can go back to resting and playing until you have the energy to create more videos and repeat the process.

A successful system allows you time to create and time to rest.

Tip #2 — You have to focus on 1–2 platforms.

Securing as much digital real estate as possible may seem like an appealing idea to most people, but it can be overwhelming for projectors.

When I think of a projector’s penetrative aura, I think of energy that is personal. Being a part of too many social media platforms is like spreading yourself thin. There has to be an established 1–2 platforms that you use to connect with your fans.

You’re not here to be in the mix and guide everyone.

The right tribe will find you in the right digital spaces.

Tip #3 — You have to stop showing up as a generator.

You’re meant to take things slow.

Leverage your ability to see patterns and create systems that allow you to work less. Projectors work best in bursts of energy. Your “shifts” shouldn’t last longer than five hours.

It can be tempting for projectors to “hustle” because they want immediate resolutions, but it’s a counterproductive strategy.

Exhaustion is more dangerous for you than any other human design type.

From my observation, projectors are able to lean more into their “work” once they have taken time to enjoy themselves beforehand. A generator can exhaust themselves and feel satisfied later. Whereas, projectors must complete things before they get tired.

To be a better entrepreneur as a projector, you must work with your natural energy — not against it.

Since I’ve been getting so many requests about Human Design, I decided to write a book outlining various ways to embody the Projector design without relying on others for recognition. Originally, this was a resource I created for myself to track my reflections and observations. You can order the book here.
